Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy

Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy is an effective form of body therapy which acknowledges the connection between body and mind.

It assists the body to orient towards its inherent capacity for health and wellbeing, and supports a deeper appreciation of ourselves as adaptive living organisms capable of healing and change at any life stage. We are shaped and influenced by many things, how we respond to our experiences in life, by our genetics and intergenerational imprinting for instance. At the heart of much disturbance is the impact of stress and trauma in its many expressions and craniosacral therapy is ideally suited towards trauma resolution offering a safe and relational approach.

Through palpation (gentle physical contact) it is possible to evaluate the general functioning and vitality of the body by assessing a motion we call primary respiration. This motion is expressed and can be felt within different layers of the body, the fluids, body structures such as bone, connective tissue, organs and the central nervous system. When health is compromised, we may experience symptons that can be seen as an attempt by the body to self regulate and heal. The aim of treatment is to engage the body's resources, to boost the expression of primary respiration and assist in the re-establishment of health.
